Gypsy Gold Farm

I was first introduced to Gypsy Vanners, or the Gypsy Vanner Horse, in July 2001 when my sister and I attended Breyerfest in the Kentucky Horse Park. I met my first Gypsy Vanner, Bill, or the Gypsy King, at Breyerfest. Dennis and Cindy Thompson, the first Americans to import the breed from England, were there with the Gypsy King to help bring the breed to the public eye. They started a breed registry in 1996, and have built up the breed from the original imported 16 to almost 70 now spread throughout the country. They currently have 16 Gypsy Vanners on their farm, and two more horses at other locations.
